An Adventure For Your Taste Buds

I would love to say that baking was always my passion but honestly I kinda just fell into it. I went to school for art and always figured I would be expressing myself on paper or canvas rather than buttercream and fondant but here I am!
I've been married for 17 years, a proud mother of three and I am a 3rd generation Sandpoint native, I love my town so when the thought of opening a bakery to make events more of a personal, rather than commercial feel came rattling around in my head I bulldozed right on through.
Just like that Kate's cakes was born!
With the help of my family, my church and many, many friends who have ordered and passed my name around through the years its become something I love very much!
I pride myself on making things from scratch and creating new and unique flavor and design combinations to enhance any occasion. 
Being able to be behind the scenes at a wedding and see so many beautiful brides, dropping off a cake at a local fundraiser and hearing how my design made the night! Or seeing that little boys face light up when I present him with his perfect character birthday cake! It truly is such a blessing that I hope will last for many years to come!
